That is, they do not express thoughts, beliefs and opinions that would be advocated by Binghamton University officials who have the authority to speak on behalf of official groups or departments at Binghamton University.
The opinions expressed represent ONLY the personal opinions of those who compose the text written as individuals. While often, for some popular pages, there may be good indications of a consensus among those who participated in authoring and editting the particular page, it is nearly impossible (on a wiki) to see immediately who the 'author' or 'chief editor' of any page is.
It's not possible with such an unstructured process to determine whether all opinions and sensitivities have been fairly and adequately weighed. So, all wiki pages will always ... remain ... unofficial.
