  • Showed how to use a USB device to provide a "persistant home"

knoppix home=scan

• What are the properties of the USB drive that allow it to be "scan"able?
  • Must do "K-Menu -> KNOPPIX -> Configure -> Create Persistent Disk Image" in the menu to set it up.
    • This will create the "knoppix.img" and "knoppix.swp" files on the device which can be scanned for on boot.
    • A password can be used to protect this image, if desired, but it needs to be 20 characters long.

• Wireless-assistant will show you (graphically) the list of all hotspots in range.
